Victor Hugo Castañeda was born in La Palma, Michoacán, Mexico, on August 30, 1947; at the age of 4 he moved to Mexico City, he is currently 40 years old living in Cuernavaca Morelos. From an early age, the sculptor has been involved with art, since he comes from a family of sculptors, cabinetmakers, and santeros. In her childhood, her favorite hobby was drawing. Unconsciously he showed skills as a good draftsman and his taste for the female figure.

While studying Electrical Mechanical Engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute, the sculptor decided to change the course of his life after being involved in the "68" movement.
In 1969 he began to work with internationally renowned Masters; and began his artistic career at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving "La Esmeralda" of the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF FINE ARTS in Mexico City. Since then, the artist has dedicated his life to sculpture; He has collaborated with other internationally renowned artists. Since 1972, he has exhibited individually and collectively, impacting the artistic world with his work.
